In honor of Thanksgiving week, here are seven things I'm thankful for:
one || My hubby.
Dan is truly my best friend. We get each other. He puts up with my shenanigans. He understands my quirks. He knows how to make me laugh. He knows what ticks me off. We share the same dreams and desires. I'm so thankful the Lord has put him in my life and that we can journey on this crazy adventure together. He's the love of my life!
two || My puppies.
I never thought that I'd own a dog. And I never thought in a million years that I'd own
Honestly, Piper and Carl have been the best investment we've ever made. Sure, their mischief and antics drive me crazy, but I've never known a pet to show so much love! I'm so thankful that God made these wonderful pets for our enjoyment.
three || My family.
There are four tiers of family I need to address: my parents, my brother, my parents-in-law, and my siblings-in-law. To my parents, thank you for being strict and for raising us right. We wouldn't be where we are without your love and guidance. To my brother, thank you for putting up with a crazy sister. Sorry for being a total terror to you growing up. My father and mother-in-law, thank you for loving me like one of your own kids. And finally, my siblings-in-laws, you all are the older sibling I never had. Thanks for sticking up for me when needed, for the laughs, and for all our crazy adventures. I can't wait 'til we're all together again.
four || My best friends.
There are very few that I am proud to call my best friends. They know exactly who they are. The older I get, the more thankful I am for them! They are the ones who have stuck with me through thick and thin. They are the ones who encourage me and uplift me. They are the ones I can laugh with. They are basically my sisters and I love them to death!
five || My health.
I'll be honest. I used to take my health for granted. I was the kid who had perfect attendance in school because I never got sick and when I did, it was on the weekends or it was very minor. Now, reading, knowing, and seeing people around me with illnesses, I'm thankful the Lord has blessed me with good health.
six || My home.
I love my little home. I'm so thankful for a beautiful home that I can come to at the end of a long day. I am thankful to have a roof over my head, for running water, and air conditioning.
seven || Jesus.
I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! He has seen my through some tough times and some difficult patches. He has proven Himself over and over. I am thankful that the Lord has been unchanging and unfailing. If you don't know the Lord, let me introduce you to Him! He will change your life forever! I promise.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
