A Letter To My Brother and His Bride-to-Be

Dear Tim,

You are getting married tomorrow. I honestly cannot believe it. Where did the time go? Even though you're only two years younger than me, for whatever reason, I still view you as that gaming 16-year-old kid brother. Honestly, I've forgotten that you've grown up and that you're a lot older, and probably wiser, now. Take care of Hannah. Remember to keep Christ at the center. You may go through ups and downs, but like God promises, you will come forth as gold. I am so happy for you and I pray that together you and Hannah have a wonderfully blissful marriage.

Oh. PS: You say that you won't cry tomorrow? Ten bucks say that you'll weep like a child. ;)

Dear Hannah,

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but do you remember the first time we met? It was a very "unofficial" way and very strange. Your freshman year of college, which was my junior year, my roommates and I ran into your room to "arrest" your roommates. I think we ended up "arresting" you too. (Don't ask. We were bored that night.) After the giggles, we stopped to chat for a few minutes and I remember looking at you and thinking, "That girl would be a good match for Tim." I had no idea at the time if you had even met. Fast forward ten months later, my brother confessed to me that he liked you. Now, here we are about four years later. Who knew that my little inkling would come true? I am over-the-moon excited for you. And we are blessed to be adding you to our family. You truly are a gem.

Happy Wedding Day. And, Hannah, welcome to the family.
