One of the first things I do when I log on to Facebook is check out what's trending. I like to know what's up with the current events of the world. The first thing that caught my eye yesterday was an article on Seattle's famous Gum Wall. After twenty years, it is getting a good scrub down to preserve the walls. Once it's cleaned, people can start putting their gum back on the wall. #nasty
Dan and I were in Seattle earlier this year to visit our friends Brian and Megan. The first place they took us to was the famous gum wall. As we got closer to the wall, the sickeningly sweet smell, mixed with the smell of the city, hit us. We didn't want to get too close to the wall since it was screaming germs, haha! But we did snap a few pictures.
So gross! Yet, so fascinating. Goodbye, gum!
I would venture to say that this is probably the grossest tourist trap I've been to. Can anyone top this? Share below in the comments!
