I was contacted by Printiki to review free prints. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I have always loved cameras and photos, even as a kid. I remember my mom let me have the responsibility of taking pictures of my brother's Kindergarten graduation and I was so excited that I accidentally used the entire roll on just the ceremony. My mom was so upset at how much film I wasted! I always poured over the albums of pictures as a kid making connections from names to faces of relatives I had never met. I loved it when my parents would let me get a disposable camera for camps and such, and finally, when I was in high school, my mom and dad gifted me with my first DIGITAL camera. Holy moly. I carried that thing around with me everywhere and documented EVERYTHING in high school. (People, this was before the smartphone era, hahaha! I sound SO old right now, but I promise you, I'm not that old!!!) I think I have about 25 gigs of pictures on a hard drive somewhere of pictures.
So yeah. I love photos.
Fast-forward several years and while I still love pictures, I have been awful at getting pictures printed... especially pictures of my family. When Elli was born, I ordered a baby book, but quickly realized it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. So, I ordered a much more simplified one. And I then realized... the picture placeholders are SQUARE. All of my pictures were 4x6! I could cut them...but I'm terrible with straight lines and scissors (ask my husband).
Printiki is a photo printing service based in the Netherlands (how cool is that?!), however, the products are printed locally here in the US. There are several different styles you can choose from regular prints to retro prints as well as posters and photo books. I opted for the 4x4 prints because I needed some square prints for Elli's baby book.
The process was super easy to do and shipping was incredibly fast! I was really surprised at the quick turn-around because other printing services I had used in the past were not as quick.
The prints are gorgeous! Even the iPhone camera photos I chose to print came out very clear and vibrant. I also love the white border. My husband even noticed how nice the photos turned out. His exact words were "Those retro looking photos you ordered turned out really nice!" I was super pleased and am definitely looking forward to using Printiki again!
So... have I convinced you yet? Printiki is the bomb dot com! They have even given me a code to share with you all for free shipping for first-time customers! If you happen to use this code, Printiki will give a little credit to my account for some prints. And I would totally be so grateful because y'all now know how much I love printed photos! So without further adieu, here you go! W46E3F8Z
